Eastern Europe technical problem fix
Some players from Eastern Europe using non-English Windows versions are having trouble playing Masq.
I got this solution from a player in Poland. We have not tested it, so we don't know if it there are any unintended consequences. But many players have reported us it solves the problem.
Feel free to comment.
Solution:
To solve problems with Masq in eastern part of Europe (and I imagine other places too) one has to enter the CONTROL PANEL in the START MENU of Windows, choose REGIONAL SETTINGS, then ADVANCED and tick 'ENGLISH (US)' or 'ENGLISH (GREAT BRITAIN)'. I suppose some other choices would work too. Then all one needs to do is restart the system and Masq will work. However, this can be a bit annoying when using some programs (local internet communicators for example), so one needs to memorize the original setting and change back to it if there are any problems.
In case of Poland, it is as follows: PANEL STEROWANIA > OPCJE REGIONALNE I JEZYKOWE > ZAAWANSOWANE. Then choose ANGIELSKI (STANY ZJEDNOCZONE) or ANGIELSKI (WIELKA BRYTANIA).
